A judge has ruled that President Trump fraudulently claimed that he would "win bigly" in the 2020 presidential election. The ruling from New York judge Arthur Engoron came late yesterday (Tuesday) in the latest apparent blow to the former President's 2024 election bid.
"I personally looked at the 2020 election results on Wikipedia," Judge Engoron wrote in his ruling. "And in no way do the results result in a win that would match the definition of 'bigly'."
Trump was also fined $28 million for improper use of the word "covfefe" in a 2017 tweet. The judge said that misuse of "covfefe" constituted the defrauding of the American public. "Improper word use threatens the equity of our country," he said.
Engoron denied allegations that he is a "grammar nazi", saying he instead prefers the term "grammar Ukrainian".
In related news, New York District Attorney said there is an ongoing criminal investigation into Trump's claims that his support base is "yuge".
